opciones de idiomas Patterns of the crystals vary from bowl to bowl. 16 to 19 inch diameter.     A glaze is a special kind of glass that fuses to the ceramic clay body structure when fired in a kiln, it is formulated to adhere to the clay surface. Most functional pieces of ceramic art are water-resistant, durable, and easy to clean.     A crystalline glaze uses a special firing process to actually grow crystals in the glaze surface, this is achieved by rigourlessly controlling the temperature during the firing process. Crystalline glazes are extremely runny at maturity, so when a crystalline glaze is used on the outside of a form a special tray must be made ideally to fit under the exact diameter of the form. After the piece is removed from the kiln the pedestal may be removed by breaking it off at the parting point or cutting it off with a diamond blade. A special mixture of glue is used to keep the vase and the pedestal from fusing together during firing.     The chemistry of crystalline glazes is an esoteric subject with no potter usually willing to divulge their glaze recipes.
